A construction group needed hollow sections, mechanical tube and galvanized pipe for an industrial plant build, delivered against a rolling monthly schedule instead of one bulk delivery.
Monthly releases instead of one bulk shipment
The package covered structural hollow sections for the steel frame, mechanical tube for piping racks and galvanized tube for services. Quantities changed as the build progressed, so the order was placed as a framework agreement with monthly release orders.
We held buffer stock of the fast-moving sizes in our warehouse and scheduled production for the large sections, which kept the site supplied without the contractor tying up capital in one bulk delivery.
